Product Description |
| When he first became leader of the AUTOBOTS, OPTIMUS PRIME was not certain he wanted the responsibility. The war with the DECEPTICONS was going badly, and it looked like there was no end in sight. He vowed to himself and to the warriors under his command that he would never surrender, never retreat, and never stop fighting until the DECEPTICONS were defeated. Race into action with this fearsome CYBERTRONIAN OPTIMUS PRIME figure! In robot mode with his rifle that converts to a blaster accessory, this fighter is as tough as they come. |

First off, he's not from the Movie toy line. He's from the Generations line (War for Cybertron subcategory), a new line coming out this year. Below are the pros and cons for this figure.
-Pros
- Extremely durable, he won't break easily. (Some have reported breakage problems, but I haven't experienced any such problems. After numerous transformations and poses I haven't had a single problem.)
- As with Bumblebee, his Robot mode is very accurate to his in game counterpart.
- Minimal kibble (excess hanging off his back)
- Gun can change from his Ion Blaster (rifle) to a cannon that can be set on the back of his car for storage and vehicle display.
- Vehicle mode rolls well, and stays together well. A sturdy alt mode, similar in look to his War Within design.
-Cons
- First few transformations are a bit daunting.
- More complicated than Bumblebee, but nowhere near as tough as the ROTF line.
- Kids will have a hard time with him, I'd recommend this for collectors.
Well, that's my take on the figure. He's highly durable, accurate, and just a great figure. However his transformation difficulty may make it a better choice to keep it as a collectors item than giving it to a child. I can't recommend him enough, he's truly a fantastic figure. Hope this helps someone out. |

| It's true this isn't the most durable Transformer I own but its by far my favorite. The transformation is incredibly simple with practice. It's difficulty at first is partially due to confusing instructions. He's not as durable as I'd hoped. But he'll survive sitting on my shelf and being transformed occasionally. I would not recommend this for a 5 year old. 10 or older. |
very awesome toy

| one of the best transformers figures. It has a great robot mode and a great vehicle mode. At first it's pretty hard to transform, but the first time you transform him it's pretty easy. Overall I think that kids will love this toy, they will love it more with the generations bumblebee toy to go along with it. |
One of the best Primes ever!

| I really like this figure. This has to be one of the best Optimus figures out there, along with the ROTF Leader class and of course the G1 figure. For a deluxe class this figure is very detailed. It has several points of articulation and is very poseable in robot mode. His parts are made to safely break away if you make a mistake while transforming. He looks very good in vehicle form too, just like in the War for Cybertron (WFC) game. He is kind of hard to transform for a deluxe class figure. I believe the instructions say there are 26 steps! This is a minor gripe, but he is about as tall as the WFC Bumblebee figure. It would have been nice if they made a larger version to be in scale with WFC Bumblebee. But since they are both in the deluxe class, I guess I can't complain. Overall this is a great Optimus Prime figure and I can't recommend him enough. I already have the WFC Bumblebee figure too and can't wait to see the next WFC figures. |
REAL nice version of Prime.

To start, the articulation is amazing. Posabiltiy is intact and the joints are great.
What really won me over is the complexety of the transformation! I like for a deluxe
to have that type of difficulty, but not too hard-when you read the "advanced" on
the level part on the card, believe it! Definitely go get this figure! |
